Is My Church Healthy? (My New Book): PP128

It’s been quiet on the Productive Pastor front for the last few months, but I have been plugging away on something I’ve never done.

I wrote a book this spring and it comes out in a few weeks.

As I’ve been experimenting with a new AI tool, I realized I found a really interesting way to share it with folks in the Productive Pastor Community.

What We’re Tackling:

  • Church Health: Unpacking the concept of vitality and what it means for churches of all sizes, not just mega-churches.

  • Vitality Matrix: Learn about this tool I’ve developed with the Louisiana Conference, targeting four stages of church health: Unsustainable, Stable, Vital, and Sustainable.

  • Seven Core Categories: We'll explore categories like member care, financial health, and evangelism, each crucial for gauging a church’s vitality.

Key Highlights:

  • The Big Idea: Healthy churches aren’t just about packed pews; they’re about sustainable growth and active member engagement.

  • Vital Signs: A stable church doesn’t automatically mean it's healthy. We’re talking quality over quantity here.

  • Practical Tools: For leaders in the trenches, we'll discuss pragmatic steps for using data to drive engagement and strategic generosity.

Why This Matters:

  • Self-Publishing Journey: "Is My Church Healthy?" is my first leap into self-publishing, a move I suspect will be huge in the future for sharing church vitality insights.

  • Robotic Insight: Even the AI guys—our friendly robots!—did a remarkable job breaking down these concepts (as you’ll hear).
