PP75 : My Basic Productivity Stack
After nearly 20 years of thinking about how I work, I’ve got three basic ideas that drive nearly all of my productivity. These have been refined over the years. They might sound simple or just a basic step. You would be surprised though. Each one of them factors into my work each day.
Each of these three systems is the basic for a much larger approach to productivity.
Time Audit
I keep track of my day pretty religiously. This helps me understand so many things about not just my schedule, but my approach to work. Are you struggling to find focus? Do a time audit. Want to see where you are overworking? Do a time audit. Have any questions about the way you spend your time? Do a time audit.

Do you want the time audit sheet? You can get it here.
Brain Dumps
Do you feel like your mind is carrying too much? Do a brain dump. I find myself turning to this strategy multiple times. In fact, I’ve been knowing to do them a couple of times a week. The brain dump is one of the big parts of my 5/15 email course.
My Working Notebook
For years, I have kept every single thing (besides sermon work) in one notebook. I now build in TONS of pdf templates and use them inside goodnotes in my iPad.
You can read all about that in episode 34, The Super Power of Working Notes.
