PP026 Why I have multiple to-do lists

So how do you handle a massive pile of tasks AND pastor a church or lead a ministry? Friends - you can't have just one list. For your effectiveness AND your sanity. Here is how I use a multiple-list strategy to keep everything on the train tracks.

This sounds crazy Chad.

Have you gotten back into hustle bus productivity?

Nope

But what I did learn was to be mindful of not every task is the same and that not every task belongs in the emotional and time space I am in right now. This is about taking advantage of our energy levels throughout the day, the way that different tasks related to those energies, and how we mentally handle doing all of this.

And to take advantage of this frame of thinking, it really only takes a few steps.

  1. Know your personal energy levels and how they flow throughout the day.

  2. Know how different tasks affect you.

  3. Make sure you are matching these things up, and not overloading yourself in the process.
