PP013 What is Productivity?

Let me tell you. That is a pretty loaded question.

In the past, I would have defined it in terms of how much got done. I would talk about forward motion. Getting the ball down the field. Insert whatever analogy you want to that sounds like a baptized line from the Wolf of Wall Street.

But then I crashed. And for the last 3 years, I’ve been redefining what all this means for me, taking an idea and conversation that is a pretty big part of me and learning lessons from it being raw and undefined. Learning to craft a new answer to the question “what is productivity”?

Last week I asked a quick question over in the Productive Pastor Community on Facebook about what content folks would enjoy hearing. We had a great add-in suggestion asking about defining productivity, and I realized it was a good conversation before we jump into the next few episodes.

So what is productivity?

Knowledge, Awareness, and then Action.

Or at least that is how I will define it currently.
