The Power of a Time Audit

So how do you draw boundaries?

It’s actually pretty hard when you don’t know where you need them to be. At the beginning of this episode I share a quote from Henry Cloud in his book Boundaries for Leaders.

A boundary is a structure that determines what will exist and what will not.

- Henry Cloud

And for us to create a healthy understanding of what ministry should (and can) look like for us, we have to have a working understanding of where those boundaries need to fit.

And I think the Time Audit is the perfect tool to use for that reason. (and many others)

A Time Audit is a multi-faceted tool that lets us not just track our time, but be intentional about what we are planning on doing, and what actually happens throughout our day. Unknown time is the playground of chaos. And chaos is the thing that will keep us the most distracted in our ministry.

Grab the Time Audit sheet here (it’s free).

In the episode, I talked about the journey we all take and how we are in a constant relationship with control and agency. When we are able to harness the power of intentionality, we can move from disorder into reorder.

So download the Time Sheet resource and dive in.
